Mr. Henry Evans, the inspiration and instigator of Robots for Humanity (R4H) will be conducting a session showcasing the power of robotic technology to assist those with disabilities on Thursday, March 24th at 12:10 PM in the Klingenstein Lounge, as part of Educational Technology Day.
Mr. Evans suffered a tragic stroke-like episode when he was 40 years old, rendering him speechless (mute) and quadriplegic. Through robotic technology, Henry continues to find ways to explore and interact with the world. Henry will share his personal experiences with a variety of technological tools including remote tours of museums and cultural sites around the world and web controlled assistive devices powered by Raspberry Pi computers.
Henry will join the Ithaca College Ed Tech Day on Suitable Technologies’ BeamPro telepresence device from his home in Palo Alto California.
This is one of over 50 sessions that are part of our 26th Annual Educational Technology Day at Ithaca College on Thursday, March 24th from 9 AM to 4 PM in the Campus Center. No registration is required for members of the Ithaca College community. Complete information is available on the Ed Tech Day Website: www.ithaca.edu/edtechday
