The IC American Marketing Association (ICAMA) once again placed among the top chapters in the country, receiving multiple awards at the 2016 AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, March 17-19.
Eleven students attended, representing ICAMA at the conference. In the main awards competition, IC received awards for Outstanding Chapter Planning, Outstanding Membership Activities, and Outstanding Communications. Overall, this performance ranks IC among the top thirty chapters in the country out of 360 active chapters, 247 of whom submitted annual reports and participated in the competition. ICAMA also received a previously announced award for achieving honorable mention status in the Case Competition (top 25 nationwide).
While in New Orleans at the conference, co-presidents Amanda Lee ’16 and Caroline Granger ‘16 presented at a session on outstanding marketing week activities to a crowd of over 50 student leaders from other chapters. In addition, two students competed in the Marketing Strategy Competition (Robert Mantell '18 and Kelsey Herniman ‘18). Students attended numerous sessions on chapter management, success in AMA competitions, and career networking.
