Please join the Park Center for Independent Media as we celebrate this year's Izzy Award winners, Inside Climate News (for revealing that #ExxonKnew about greenhouse gases' contribution to climate disruption for nearly four decades, but smothered its own science in favor of profits) and Jamie Kalven and Brandon Smith (for exposing the official cover-up of the Chicago police shooting of black teenager Laquan McDonald).
We will also be inducting Amy Goodman, host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, into the I. F. Stone Hall of Fame. All of the honorees will speak, and a book signing will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
We especially invite students to attend, as this is a rare opportunity to hear from some of the greatest journalists in the USA.
