Free pancakes. Need we say more? Maple syrup, a delicious liquid we no doubt all enjoy, is produced yearly on Ithaca College land. South Hill Forest Products, a business run by students in an Environmental Studies class makes syrup every spring semester.
The good news for you is – not only can you buy this delicious syrup, but we’re hosting a syrup open house on Saturday, April 16th. There we’ll be cooking up free pancakes on griddles, there will be live music, games, sugarbush tours, and just a genuine good time in the woods. We’ll also be selling maple syrup, hickory syrup, soap, salves, and wood carving knives! The more the merrier, so come and bring all your friends, relatives and dogs.
The event starts at 10 AM and we’ll be running it all the way until 3 PM, so there’s no excuse to miss it! Shuttles will be leaving to go to the sugarbush hourly from outside the Park School of Communications (don’t worry, it’s a short 5 minute drive). Or, you can drive yourself to the end of Rich Road off Coddington. Someone will be waiting there to lead you to the sugarbush.
Please come join us and hang out in the woods! What better way is there to spend a Saturday? We don’t think one exists.
