The wait is FINALLY over, Africa Week has arrived!
The African Students Association hosts Africa Week every year. Africa Week is a week long celebration of the African continent. This year's theme is "Embracing Pan-Africa". Each day of next week will be dedicated to exploring different subjects having to do with Pan-Africa.
Mon. April 11th- (Rm:Textor 102, 7pm) Frictions in the Diaspora: A panel discussion which will revolve around the points of solidarity and friction among the people of the African Diaspora.
Tues. April 12th- (Rm:Williams 225, 7pm) Am I, the film: A film screening about those who find themselves between cultures.
Wed. April 13th- (Rm:Textor 101, 7pm) Spotlight Africa: Will seek to uncover stories of successful Africans and Diasporans across major fields.
Thurs. April 14th: (Rm:Clarke Lounge, 8pm) Entrepreneurship Baazar: We will support local Black businesses and discuss the importance of supporting Black owned.
Sat. April 16th: (Hotel Ithaca, 7pm) Ujamaa Banquet: The closing ceremony celebration of Africa Week. There will be food, music and a special keynote speaker.
