On Sunday, April 17 at 1pm in Textor 102, nationally known hip-hop sensation Sammus will perform some of her songs and give her thoughts on race, gender, and gaming.  Admission is free.

“Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo, who goes by the stage name Sammus, is a Cornell PhD student who balances researching for her dissertation with producing beats and rapping. An up-and-comer in the nerdcore hip-hop scene, Sammus has received praise for her video game-inspired beats and smart lyrics. She raps with insight and wit on topics both casual and serious - from Mario and Dragonball Z to gender issues and racial tensions in America.” --Jeff Smith, The Ithaca Voice
