Dr. Paul R Geisler, ATC presented an invited talk on the current state and future of athletic training education at the University of Delaware on April 22nd in Newark, DE
Associate Professor of Athletic Training, Paul R. Geisler, EdD, ATC (Department of Exercise & Sport Sciences) was invited by the Athletic Training Education Program in the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology to speak about the current state of affairs in athletic training education last week. After presenting "(Re)Conceptualizing Athletic Training Education & Practice: Towards an Evidence Informed Profession", and evidence based assessment of educational policy in the field, Dr. Geisler met with students, faculty and administrators to discuss and provide insight on the current status of education, accreditation and evidence in the field as the transition is made to the master's degree level.
