On Monday, April 28, students, faculty and staff filled Emerson Suites to help honor the most outstanding efforts from students in academics, leadership, service and involvement at the OSEMA Recognition Ceremony. OSEMA staff members and Student Leadership Consultants presented awards to student organizations. Additionally, annual awards for student involvement were passed on to this year’s most dedicated and successful student organizations.
IC Italian Club took home Most Outstanding New Student Organization of the Year, Candice Tan and Nate Antonacci won Most Outstanding Rising E-Board Member and Most Outstanding E-Board member (respectively), and Brothers 4 Brothers was honored with Most Outstanding Student Organization of the Year. But B4B was not done there! The student organization was also recognized for its collaboration with Student Activities Board and the Caribbean Student Association for its Cortaca Jug After-Party, for which it won Best Diversity and Inclusion Collaboration. PRISM also went home with a few different awards, winning Most Outstanding Adviser of the Year (for adviser Luca Maurer) and Most Outstanding Social Program of the Year for its Fifth Annual Drag Show. Guiding Eyes for the Blind represented excellency in service by winning Outstanding Service Student Organization of the year too!
Only a select few student organizations were able to be honored this year, OSEMA hopes to have inspired all students to keep doing amazing things for their student organizations next year. The OSEMA staff is extremely proud of their dedication, hard work, and creativity. Here’s to another great year!
