Seeking Faculty Coordinator of Graduate Studies

The Division of Educational Affairs seeks a graduate program chair or tenured faculty member teaching in a graduate program to serve as Faculty Coordinator of Graduate Studies. The responsibilities of this individual are to liaise among graduate programs, facilitate inter-professional opportunities, lead strategic planning/vision, monitor costs and effectiveness of graduate marketing strategies, and advocate for graduate programs institutionally. The individual will serve as a member of the Graduate Council. In this role, the individual will report to the Vice Provost for Academic Programs.

 

This position is a three-year appointment starting in fall 2016, with possibility of renewal. The individual selected will be reassigned for 3 credits of teaching each semester to complete these duties and will receive a stipend of $3,500 for summer work.

Selection process: Applications for the Faculty Coordinator of Graduate Studies will be vetted by a committee consisting of representatives from the Graduate Council, which will make recommendation(s) about strengths and concerns for each candidate to the Provost. The anticipated timeline is that recommendation(s) will be made to the Provost by May 20th and an individual will be appointed shortly thereafter.
