Attend an ICUnity Community BBQ in D.C. or NYC

05/02/16

Contributed by Nancy Law

Going to be in New York or D.C. this summer? Come to a barbecue hosted by ICUnity, a network of Ithaca College's ALANA students, alumni, parents, staff, and friends. What's better than spending a day relaxing with your extended IC family?

Each barbecue will be complete with proteins from the grill (including a vegetarian option), soft drinks, and potluck sides and desserts. You're invited, and so are your parents and fellow IC friends (current or incoming IC students). Best of all, these events are free!

Sign up in advance to attend one of our barbecues:
·      Washington, D.C.: Saturday, June 25, time and location to be decided
·      New York City: Saturday, July 23, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Prospect Park, Brooklyn

If you're bringing friends or parents, they will need to register separately so we can get an accurate count and provide the right amount of food for everybody.

ICUnity is working with the following college entities to make this event happen: the Center for the Study of Culture, Race and Ethnicity, Office of Alumni Relations, Office of the Interim Chief Diversity Officer, Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Metro New York and the Washington, D.C., Metro Area regional chapters.

Hope to see you this summer!
