Ithaca College Board of Trustees Elects New Members

Three new campus community trustees and two new term trustees were elected at the May meeting of the Ithaca College Board of Trustees. 

 

Julie Dorsey ’01, M ’03, associate professor of occupational therapy, will serve three years as faculty trustee; Sybil Conrad, assistant director of Campus Center and event services, will serve three years as staff trustee; and Elijah Greene ’18, who is majoring in applied economics, will serve two years as student trustee. The Governance Committee of the Board of Trustees evaluated and interviewed three candidates for each open position. Faculty Council, Staff Council, and the Student Government Association nominated the candidates for each position respectively.

 

Mary Opperman, vice president for human resources at Cornell University; and Peter Taffae ’82, managing director at ExecutivePerils, Inc., will each serve for four years as term trustees.  More information about the trustee selection process can be found on the trustee website here.

In addition, three trustees were reelected to additional terms: board chair Tom Grape ’80; Jim Nolan ’77, Parent ’01; and David Bachrach ’70. Departing members Elliot Mayrock ’73 and Susan Pervi, Parent ’02, were thanked by Grape for their service on the board.
