Ilana Goldstein, Taylor Greenwood and Gretchen Hohmeyer presented papers at the Children's Literature Association's annual conference.
Ilana (English Education '17), Taylor (English '16) and Gretchen (English/Writing '16) were among the very few undergraduates to present at this prestigious event, which features the top scholars in the field from all around the world. Their papers looked at multi-media phenomena considered from a pedagogical/cultural standpoint; their presentations were universally admired and praised.
Professor Katharine Kittredge traveled with them to the conference, where she presented her own paper on pre-Victorian depictions of bullying and received one of the Association's Faculty Research Grants for her project on blindness in early children's literature.
