Career Services is excited to announce the arrival of two new staff members, beginning July 25:
Kerry joins the Office of Career Services team as Assistant Director of Alumni and Employer Relations following an extensive career as a counselor and professional academic advisor. Kerry is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and began her career working in community mental health agencies for substance abuse and trauma. Wanting to work exclusively with students and their career goals, she moved into academic advising where she has spent the last eight years assisting students with strategizing their academic plans as a means to reach their career goals. The field of career services has long been an area of professional interest for Kerry, and she is beyond enthusiastic to be joining the Career Services team. She is looking forward to making connections, generating opportunities for students, and learning all she can from her esteemed colleagues.
Danielle is coming to Ithaca College from NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego, California, where she assisted students and alumni with career planning as the Career Counselor. She also has experience providing career and academic counseling to college-bound high school students. Danielle holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Penn State University and a master of science in counseling from Gannon University. She is excited to join Ithaca College and collaborate with a variety of faculty and staff to support and encourage students as they explore and choose possible career choices. In her time away from work, Danielle enjoys running, reading, hiking, and spending time with her two Corgis.
Please join us in welcoming Kerry and Danielle at an informal meet-and-greet on Tuesday, August 2 from 2-4 p.m. in the Career Services office (Muller 101). We look forward to working with our new colleagues and our continued collaborations with campus partners! All students, faculty, and staff are welcome. Lights refreshments will be served.
