Jake Brenner (ENVS) is serving as a guest editor of a Special Feature in Ecology & Society, an open-access online journal devoted to sustainability science and co-authored a paper in the Special Feature.

Jake co-authored a paper in the Special Feature about the role of outdoor recreation and "functional leisure" in determining landowners interest in conservation easements. The research, which took place in Indiana, builds on work done in upstate New York in 2011-2013 with ENVS co-authors, Stephanie Lavallato, Marin Cherry, and Emma Hileman.
