I am pleased to announce that Mr. William Liddick has been named Interim Director of Engagement and Implementation within the department of Digital Instruction and Information Services. His official first day in the role is Monday, July 25, 2016.
I am looking forward to working closely with Bill and the other DIIS Directors Jason Youngers, Casey Kendall and Mark Fink in providing IT leadership for the campus.
Over his 36 year career Bill has held a number of positions in manufacturing and Higher Education, most recently serving as the College’s Associate Director of Implementation and Business Process Improvement, leading IT's efforts to provide SaaS and other application implementation services, and to offer business process improvement services. Prior to this, he was the Associate Director of Enterprise Application Development, responsible for supporting the college's main software and Web applications. Previous roles have included Project Manager; VP, Materials and Logistic; Manager, Change Management, among others. Bill entered Higher Education at Cornell University as a Project Manager and helped lead the effort to implement a new Housing System and the analysis of the Conference Services program that confirmed the viability of the operation. His broad experience will help DIIS work with the campus community to move forward with key initiatives and improvements.
Throughout his career, he has also been involved in leading numerous aspects of technology and business services on campus and with other organizations, including enterprise applications and development, business intelligence, web applications, project management and materials management. His involvement includes Co-chair of the Academic Workflow Committee, Steering Committee member for Enterprise Content Management and the Colleges Web Overhaul Project, technical member supporting the Middle States Accreditation Process, a member of multiple working groups and active member/participant in Diversity and Inclusion activity on-campus.
“Through the development of the Strategic Plan, DIIS has made great strides over the past two years to transform to better meet the needs of the college. I look forward to taking on this expanded role and to help with the continued effort to move from a planning to implementation phase,” says Bill.
Bill earned his bachelor's degree in business administration. He is a graduate of the EDUCAUSE 2013 Management Program and has participated in numerous training activities around Project Management and Leadership.
