Add another gold medal to Ithaca College Athletics Hall-of-Famer Meghan Musnicki's '05 total as the former member of the women's crew team earned her second Olympic gold after helping the women's eight cross the finish in 6:01.49 – two seconds faster than the silver medal winning crew from Great Britain.

Musnicki, who has now collected 18 medals in international competition, including 12 gold, has helped the women's eight cement themselves as a dynasty, having taken the top spot in the last two Olympic games and five World Rowing Championships overall.

2016 Ithaca graduate, Emily Morley, also had a strong showing in the single sculls last week in her first Olympic Games.  Morley, who became the first rower, male or female, to represent the Bahamas in the sport of rowing, began her time in Rio with a sixth place finish in her opening heat, which qualified her to compete in the repechage.  Morley improved her time by nearly a minute earning her a fifth place finish and a spot in the E/F semifinals where she earned one of three spots in the E finale.  The former co-captain of the women's crew team concluded her time in Rio with a fifth place finish in her respective final.
