Digital Instruction and Information Services (DIIS) would like to welcome new faculty and those returning to campus and remind you of some of the services available to you for teaching and learning with technology. Please contact the DIIS Service Desk (4-1000) if you would like help setting up a Sakai course or would like to set up a one-to-one consultation on any of our services.
Need help setting up your Sakai course?
- Sakai, the Learning Management System, is available for all your courses.
- New for Fall 2016. Sakai Media Tools – Create, host, manage, and deliver video easily inside Sakai. Class media galleries, content creation tools, and interactive video quizzing are now available.
- Lynda.com campus license allows free access to video tutorials are free to all faculty, staff, and student. Ask us about setting up groups for your class for assigning and tracking video usage by your students.
- Turning Technologies’ Turning Point Cloud is the supported student response system on campus. Be sure to check out our Clickers web page for changes for Fall 2016.
- The faculty lab, CET lab is open to faculty 24/7. It has B&W and color printing, Mac and Windows workstations and a sound recording room.
- Turnitin is an online plagiarism detection service.
- Optical Scanning is a service for scanning exams and course evaluations.
