From Woodstock to Coachella, the lines have blurred between high culture and popular culture.
This special topics course is an exploration of best practices in festival management within a cultural context. Course topics include marketing and booking; operations, safety and sanitation; crowd, artist, and vendor management; staffing and sustainability. Through hands-on projects and student-led presentations, the course explores the evolution of festival management and trends in the field.
