A series of two noon-hour workshops for those with an interest in the study and practice of law will be held in the coming weeks. Assistant Professor Michael Whelan will lead the workshops, with help from others, including recent IC graduates who are currently in law school. Pizza and beverages will be provided.

This session will cover the current outlook for legal careers and the types of fields and positions lawyers hold, as well as skills successful lawyers bring to the table.

The Admissions Process and Choosing the Right Law School for You
We will then begin to cover how the law school admissions process works and how to best position yourself for acceptance into law school. Included in this workshop will be discussion of the impact of grades, test scores, and other factors on law school admissions. We will also discuss how to choose law schools best suited to you, including where you would most likely be accepted and how to finance your legal education.
All Ithaca College students with a possible interest in law school or the practice of law are invited to attend. Students need not preregister for the event.
