Luca Maurer, Center for LGBT Education, Outreach & Services program director, has been honored with the 2016 Book Award from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
The book, The Teaching Transgender Toolkit: A Facilitator’s Guide to Increasing Knowledge, Decreasing Prejudice & Building Skills, was co-authored by Eli R. Green, Assistant Professor, Center for Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University. The award was presented at the AASECT annual conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Maurer and Green also presented an invited session during the conference, "Educators as Transgender Allies: Essential Strategies for Inclusive Teaching and Learning."
