The Women's and Gender Studies Program presents Dr. Gloria Joseph, talking about her new book, The Wind is Spirit: The life, love and legacy of Audre Lorde.

Dr. Gloria Joseph, author, feminist activist, and professor emeritus of Africana Studies at Hampshire College will be discussing her new book about Audre Lorde.  Partners in life and love, Gloria and Audre discussed in the months before she died how to best represent the passions and complexities of Audre's life.  The Wind is spirit is the result, a bio/anthology which draws together the voices and views of people who knew Audre.  Woven throughout are Dr. Joseph's reflections on their life together.

Dr. Joseph will sign books after the talk.  The Wind is Spirit will be on sale for $20, cash or check only.
