Emphasis will be given to one New World primate species inhabiting the field site in Costa Rica, mantled howler monkeys (Alouatta palliata). Students will receive intensive training in field techniques for primate behavioral ecology, plant identification and assessment, plant-animal interactions, and direct primate observation.
