Diversity Scholars Fall Welcome TODAY, October 27, 12:10-1:10 p.m. in Bus 206

10/27/16

Contributed by Laurie Arliss

Please help us welcome an outstanding group of diversity scholars to the College TODAY at the noon hour in Business 206.  The 2015-16 scholars include 4 dissertation fellows, 2 from H&S and 2 from HS&HP, as well as Ithaca College's first post doctoral fellow, part of the Biology Department.

The research and teaching interests of these scholars is remarkably diverse, yet they all share a common commitment to advancing the discussion of diversity itself, both at the College and in their chosen disciplines.

Each scholar will speak briefly about her specific research and teaching foci, with informal discussion and refreshments to follow.  Everyone is welcome - please help us give a strong show of support for these extraordinary scholars.

The 2015-16 diversity scholars:

Natasha Bissonauth (Cornell University PhD candidate; dissertation fellow in Art History)

Nanda Cortes Rodriguez (University of Maryland PhD; post doctoral fellow in Biology)

Sae-Mi Lee (West Virginia University PhD candidate; dissertation fellow in Exercise and Sport Sciences)

Awo Osei-Anto (Brandeis University PhD candidate; dissertation fellow in Health Promotion and Physical Education)

Kayla Wheeler (University of Iowa PhD candidate; dissertation fellow in Philosophy and   Religion)

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Laurie Arliss at arliss@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3578. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
