Lis discussed "Academic Libraries & High-Impact Educational Practices" with deans, provosts, and other chief academic officers. The Institute's keynote address was delivered by Jeff Selingo, IC Class of 1995.
In her presentation, Lis highlighted the ways that libraries contribute to and model practices that have been shown to be beneficial for college students, as articulated by George Kuh in his work for the American Association of Colleges and Universities. Lis is the Association of College and Research Libraries' Liaison to the Council of Independent Colleges. Jeff Selingo discussed his latest book, "There Is Life After College", in which he explores how young adults need to navigate college in order to prepare themselves for the job market of today and tomorrow.
