It has been said that Shakespeare was a playwright for the ages. His exploration of human aspiration and emotion remains relevant even today, some 400 years after his death.
The Styles of Acting classes in the Department of Theatre Arts are excited to present their re-imaginings of nine of Shakespeare’s play in a variety of modern contexts, ranging from the 1930’s era of Bonnie and Clyde to World War II to the present day Syrian civil war; from the Oval Office to funeral parlors, suburban homes and corporate meetings.
This presentation is free and open to the public at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday December 14 in the Clark Theatre of Dillingham Center.
