The Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers,a group of college and community singers will hold a special auditions for students on Wednesday January 23rd, 2017. The Auditions will be held at the First Baptist Church of Ithaca 309 n. Under the direction of Dr. Baruch Whitehead (Associate Professor of Music Education), we'd like to extend an invitation to the entire student body. It is our vision that we continue to add new faces and new voices to our existing community. Students do not have to be music majors or have an extensive background in music — instead, we encourage and welcome persons whom hold a strong penchant for a family oriented environment of music-making and story-telling; with the objective of performing and preserving the Negro Spirituals and other African American sacred works.
