History 21500 (MW 4-5:15), CRN 43427, has recently been designated as an Identities course in the Humanities perspective.

The Heritage of China:  Introduction to Chinese Civilization introduces important aspects of China's cultural history and tradition.  It exposes students to central ideas in Chinese philosophy and religion, to masterworks of Chinese art, drama, and literature as well as to other important topics pertaining to language, family, and science.  For history majors, this counts toward the department's global requirement; for CSCRE students, this course counts toward the Asian American Studies minor (equivalent to History 29204); and for the ICC, it counts for the Identities theme and Humanities perspective.
