Kick Back to Give Back

Teams of five will compete in a series of 10 Minute to Win It–style events featuring trivia and entertainment. Contestants earn points for their team by competing in two events. The prize pool will be donated to a charity of the winning team's choice; last year, teams played on behalf of organizations such as the SPCA, Loaves and Fishes, and the Sciencenter. Each team will donate $5 per person and receive official I Love IC Week T-shirts.

Current students will hear advice from young alumni about their experiences at IC and their transition to the real world. Panelists will include Gregory Addicott '14; Stephen Burns '15, M.B.A. '16; Sudie Ann Robinson '12; Caitlin Walton '16; and Maeghan Willis '13. After participating in a Q&A with the panelists, audience members will have a chance to meet them during a reception. Refreshments will be served.

Gratitude Day: Get the Scoop on Philanthropy

Students are invited to Emerson Suites between classes to enjoy free ice cream and write thank-you notes to Ithaca College donors. There will even be some "Ithaca celebrities" on hand to scoop the ice cream! Faculty and staff donors are invited to attend so that we can show them our gratitude. In addition, students, faculty, staff, and alumni will have the opportunity to pay tribute to someone who changed their life.

IC Kindness Day

10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Students can share the random acts of kindness they have witnessed or received from other IC community members and write thank-you notes to faculty and staff who have contributed to their IC experience. Seniors can "pay it forward" by sharing their best advice with underclassmen on a graffiti wall. Seniors can also let us know where they hope to live after graduation — and alumni from that area will welcome them!

Multicultural Career Connections 2017

This event will feature a panel discussion with distinguished Ithaca College alumni, followed by a networking reception. Students will hear a variety of perspectives as professionals share their valley and mountaintop experiences on their journey to career success. Panelists will include Shuaibu Sha Ali '12; Xavier Christmas '14; Adeesha Ekanayake '14; Gary Gilbert '91, Parent '20; Kevin Goins '88; and Sasha Jefferson '11. Business casual attire is recommended.
