About Mr. Ungvary:
Mike currently serves as Vice President of Strategy and Payer Relations at Siemens Healthcare USA. In his current role, Mike helps define and execute Siemens strategies to serve its largest customers and helps identify opportunities to partner with payers to improve patient care and outcomes.
Prior to joining Siemens in 2014, Mike enjoyed a rewarding career with Aetna. He joined Aetna in June 1987 and over the next 25 years held positions of increasing responsibility in multiple functional areas. His leadership roles included leading operations, medical economics, network contracting, accountable care, and business development functions in Aetna’s health plan businesses. He began his career as an undergraduate administrative resident at Brandywine Hospital in suburban Philadelphia.
Mike is a 1987 graduate of Ithaca College and received his MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He is active in professional organizations and was appointed to the New Jersey Governor’s Commission on Rationalizing Health Care. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia, and served in various administrative and coaching roles in youth sports organizations. Mike resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania with his wife and three children. He enjoys triathlons, skiing, and reading history.
While at Ithaca, Mike was a member of the Swimming and Diving Team, the President’s Host Committee and the Bureau of Concerts. He counts among his longest and closest friends those he made during his years at Ithaca.
