Health Care FSA Reminders

You can use a Health Care FSA to pay for eligible expenses for yourself, your spouse and your tax dependents.
Insurance premiums of any type are not eligible expenses under a Health Care FSA.
Over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and medicines are eligible expenses only if you get a written prescription from your health care provider before purchasing the item.
Certain OTC products and supplies are eligible expenses without a prescription.

Dependent Care FSA Reminders

If you’re married, both you and your spouse must be working.
If your spouse isn’t working, he or she must be a full time student, actively looking for work or incapable of self-care.
The care must be for your dependent child under the age of 13 or your spouse or dependent who is physically or mentally unable to care for him or herself.

Your dependent needs to receive the care, before you can submit a claim to PayFlex to pay yourself back.
