ITHACON breaks attendance and volunteer records.

This year's ITHACON event attracted more than 1,500 participants and involved 135 IC (and some Cornell) student volunteers.  Students exhibited their comic art, chaired and participated in panels, ran creative workshops for children and teens, and did the administrative work of running the conference.

ITHACON represents a true collaboration between college students and their community, bringing together artists, authors, bloggers, film critics, local entrepreneurs and comic book enthusiasts. Much of the credit for the excellent turn-out and the integrated branding of the convention goes to IC senior (and Head of Marketing for ITHACON) Allison Latini .  Thanks are also due to the event coordination of Mark Warfle, the design talents of Glen Harris, the hard work of the Print Shop and maintenance crew, and the expertise of Bill Turner and Carmela Merlot, long time leaders of the Comic Book Club of Ithaca.
