Ithaca College will provide on-campus housing, free of charge, to any international student(s) from one of the countries named in the proposed travel ban.

On February 6, 2017 the Student Government Council passed a bill requesting a housing exception to allow students, from countries identified in the proposed travel ban, to live in on-campus housing for the summer (even if they are not taking classes or a summer student employee). In meeting with the senators, who sponsored the bill, they requested that the college find a way to provide this housing at a subsidized or zero cost to the students. The college administration was already considering what steps we might take to provide support to the international students who might be impacted by the proposed ban. We were pleased to be able to grant the request made by SGC to provide on-campus housing this summer, free of charge, for any international student from one of the countries included in the travel ban. Any international student, from one of the affected countries, can contact the Office of International Programs to make arrangements for this housing exception.
