The Office of Human Resources invites you to attend the IC My Future Retirement Planning Event on April 19. The event will be held 10am to 2:15pm in the Emerson Suites. There will be 3 sets of concurrent education seminars available for you to choose from depending on what interests you and where you are at in the retirement planning process. Please feel free to attend just one of the seminars, or three!
TIAA, your 403(b) retirement plan administrator, will be presenting the following sessions:
- 10am - Tomorrow in Focus: Saving for Your Ideal Retirement
Believe it or not, your retirement starts now. No matter how old or young you are or where you are in your career, your retirement begins when you start saving for it. Join us for an interactive exploration of retirement saving and learn how to help create an effective plan to help maximize your retirement potential.
- 10am - To and Through Retirement
Financial Security is a goal many of us share. That goal represents a large part of the value of your employee benefits package as a faculty or staff member of the College. This is an invitation for you to learn more about how to generate enough income in retirement. Join us to learn more about creating a personal pension with an annuity.
- 11:30am - Paying Yourself: Income Options in Retirement
It’s time to consider a little payback. You’ve made a lot of sacrifices in order to put away enough money to retire. When it’s finally time, do you know how to get the money back? There are a lot of considerations, rules and tax implications that make these decisions very important and more complex.
- 1pm - Halfway There: A Retirement Checkup
Give your retirement savings a checkup. TIAA’s workshop leader will provide information to help you determine where you need to be in your retirement savings and how to get back on track if you’re behind.
