We are very pleased to announce that Ms. Rebecca Evans joined Ithaca College on April 3 as the Campus Sustainability Coordinator. Rebecca earned her Masters of Environmental Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University with a focus on environmental ethics and policy, and previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Lynchburg College.
Prior to joining IC, Rebecca was most recently the Assistant Project Manager for Environic Foundation International. In this role she was focused on Sustainable RVA, an initiative dedicated to making the Richmond, VA region more sustainable over a 35-year period. Rebecca was responsible for guiding undergraduate and graduate students through research, leading subject matter expert meetings, and implementing the resulting sustainability recommendations. Her background and focus on student involvement and community engagement will be an asset to IC.
