Keynote Speaker - Marion Nestle (SLI: Leading in a Diverse World)
When: Monday April 17, 7:00-8:00pm | Where: Textor 102
This is the keynote event of IC Sustainability Week. Marion Nestle is a consumer advocate, nutritionist, award-winning author, and academic who specializes in the politics of food and dietary choice. Her research examines scientific, economic, and social influences on food choice and obesity, with an emphasis on the influence of food industry marketing. Her books explore issues like the effects of food production on dietary intake, food safety, and access to food and nutrition. In addition to her talk, Marion Nestle will also have a brief book signing afterwards.
Climate at the CrossRoads - Environmental Justice in the Age of Trump (SLI: Leading Others)

“Climate at the Crossroads” is a panel discussion that serves to explore various urgent social dimensions of the climate crisis that are timely for the particular political moment in which we find ourselves. Dr. Sandra Steingraber will be the Master of Ceremonies for a panel of experts and activists to discuss the future of environmental activism in the current political climate. Dr. Steingraber is a distinguished scholar in residence at Ithaca College. She is a biologist, author, and activist.

Science March Poster Making
When: Tuesday April 18, 9:00-10:00pm | Where: CNS 115
Come join IC Futures and make a poster for the Science March taking place in Ithaca on April 22. The main focus of this rally is to support science and research and to raise awareness of the importance of including verified, peer-reviewed data in the creation of new public policy. All poster materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity and a love for science! We will have compostable snacks.
Sustainability Enterprise Panel (SLI: Leading Others)
When: Wednesday April 19, 7:00-8:00pm | Where: Textor 101
This event features a panel of local entrepreneurs who infuse sustainability into their daily business practices. These businesses intend to profit without inflicting harm to the society and the environment. Creating a sustainable enterprise involves transforming the entire value chain from the supply of materials to product design, operations, sales and marketing, and end-of-life management. Join us as we hold a moderated panel with time for open questions for some noteworthy entrepreneurs.

Showing of Cowspiracy (SLI: Leading Self)

IC Animal Rights presents Cowspiracy, an eye-opening documentary regarding the food industry and its effect on global climate change. This event will give students the opportunity to learn more about food systems and its relationship to the environment.
Sustainability & Business Forum (SLI: Leading Others)

The Sustainability & Business Forum will be hosted by the Ithaca College School of Business Sustainability Committee. The event will include a variety of as well as include the recipients of the Business Idea Competition Sustainability Award.
Clean Tech - Paving the Way for a Bright Future (SLI: Leading Self)
When: Thursday April 20, 6:00-7:00pm | Where: BUS 104
Have you ever been interested in clean technology or alternative energy sources? Join us for an exciting discussion of clean technologies from the perspective of both local and regional business leaders. Panelists will give a brief overview of some of the coolest parts of their businesses and attendees will have time to ask questions at the end.

Sustainability Social
When: Thursday April 20, 7:00-8:00pm | Where: BUS Atrium
One of the most difficult parts of sustainability is getting people interested and talking. To overcome this obstacle, the Office of Energy Management and Sustainability will be hosting a Sustainability social to allow people to gain an understanding of what is going on regarding sustainability on campus and in the local area through a catered social gathering. Tasty food options and refreshments will be available for all guests to enjoy regardless of their dietary preferences. All are welcome to attend!
Sustainability Week Concert
When: Saturday April 22, 7:00-10:00pm | Where: IC Square (The Pub)
The Sustainability Week concert is meant to educate students about what divestment is and how divestment from fossil fuels can be obtained at Ithaca College. In between acts, attendees will learn about the impact of divestment, and the current impact that fossil fuels has on our environment. Musicians include Rott & Roll, Alan Xtra and The Hit Singles, Aaron Rizzo, and The Lounge Act.
