Are you interested in saving the world, bottle by bottle? Is your room overloaded with bottles and cans that you haven't gotten around to taking out to recycle?
If you answered yes to either of these questions, then donate your recyclables to your residence hall's temporary Sustainability Challenge recycling box organized by the Residence Hall Association!
What is it? RHA's Sustainability Challenge is a competition between each residence hall to see who can collect the most bottles in a fierce battle to save the environment. All of the bottles will then be redeemed for money and donated to Sustainable Tompkins, an organization committed to the protection of the environment and promoting healthy methods of sustainability.
How can you help? Donate your recyclables! Boxes are located in the lounges, lobbies, or kitchens of each residence hall, just check the flyers posted in your residence hall. BONUS: take a photo of yourself donating the bottles, email it to ithacacollegerha@gmail.com tagging your hall, and your residence hall will be awarded extra points. Follow our social media (info below) to check out the competition and the status of your hall. Encourage your friends!
