Dean Vincent Wei-cheng Wang (H&S) presents paper and lectures in India, Houston, TX

Vincent Wei-cheng Wang, Dean of School of Humanities and Sciences and Professor of Politics, recently presented a paper, “The Eagle Eyes the Dragon and the Elephant: American Perspectives on Rising China and Rising India in the Changing World Order,” at the International Conference on Changing World order: India and China in Contemporary Times, at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, 14-15 April 2017. Named after India’s founding prime minister, JNU is a top university in India.

While in India, he also gave a lecture, “Sino-US Relations under Xi and Trump,” at the Institute of Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), a leading Indian think tank affiliated with the Ministry of Defence, on April 18.

On April 22, he made a presentation, “Taiwan’s Diplomacy Under the Tsai Ing-wen Administration,” at the conference, “The Maturation of a Mini-Dragon: 70 Years of the ROC on Taiwan,” at the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, Texas.
