New Archaeologist joins Anthropology faculty

  Dr. Thomas Garrison will be joining IC this Fall in the Department of Anthropology as an Assistant Professor.  

Dr. Garrison is an expert in the area of Mayan archaeology and his research methods and techniques which include LiDAR data acquisition and GIS/Remote sensing in archaeology will enhance our current offerings in archaeology. As well, Dr. Garrison will add further depth and texture to our overall degree offerings in Anthropology including potential study abroad classes in Guatemala and much, much more. Dr. Garrison is currently an Assistant Professor Teaching in the Department of Anthropology's Interdisciplinary Archaeology Major, and affiliated with the Spatial Sciences Institute, both at the University of Southern California.  He has also taught previously at the Department of Anthropology/Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University.
