Reid Garner, Biochemistry B.S. German area studies minor (2018)
“My hope is to complete medical school as a member of the United States Air Force. I have not decided yet whether I want to pursue an MD or an MD-PhD. Through volunteering at both Cayuga Medical Center and at Upstate Medical Center, I have gained more of an interest in Emergency Medicine. I am most interested in Orthopedics and Cardiothoracics.”
Colette Piasecki-Masters, Biology, Honors Program (2018)
“My passion for medicine was ignited when I began my biology curriculum and joined Professor Susan Witherup’s research lab.
Through shadowing in orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, emergency medicine, I realized that every good physician is both a student and a teacher. Through these experiences my goal is now reaffirmed: I want to train as a doctor who supports both a patient’s body and mind.”
