A Book Talk with CSCRE's Dr. Phuong Nguyen
The Center for the Study of Culture, Race and Ethnicity invites you to a celebration of Dr. Phuong Nguyen’s forthcoming book, Becoming Refugee American: the Politics of Rescue in Little Saigon (University of Illinois Press, 2017). Dr. Nguyen will discuss the complex ways Vietnamese refugees who come to the United States after the Vietnam War negotiate anti-Asian sentiments, their identities and sense of belonging.
