Summer Mail and Packages for CIRCLES Residents

05/08/17

Contributed by Peter Schlough

Circles Mailroom is CLOSED for packages, but letter mail will continue to be sorted to your mailbox until the JULY 8 move-out date. If you will remain in Ithaca after JULY 8 and wish to receive mail, you must submit a HOLD MAIL card (read further).

Packages will still be received until the JULY 8 move-out date, but will only be available in the Phillips Hall Post Office for pickup. You will continue to receive email notifications when something is available for pickup. If you will remain in Ithaca after JULY 8 and wish to receive packages, you must submit a HOLD MAIL card (read further).

After Fri JULY 8, students moving out of Ithaca for the summer will have remaining unclaimed mail and packages forwarded home to their permanent address on file. Any mail or packages received after this date will be forwarded home as well. (NOTE: Only US Mail can be forwarded at no cost. All other carriers require additional payment to ship packages to a new address. We automatically return such packages unless new shipping is arranged. Contact us if you need assistance doing this).

AFTER THE JULY 8 MOVE-OUT DATE - STUDENTS LIVING IN ITHACA FOR THE SUMMER can receive mail and packages at the campus. Everything will be held at Phillips Hall Post Office only when the following steps are completed.

A HOLD MAIL at Phillips Hall card must be filed with the Registrar's office by JULY 8 so that Mail Service knows how to handle your mail and packages. These cards are available at the Phillips Hall Post Office and at the Mail Center.

SUMMER Mail and packages should be addressed to you as follows

Name

Hold at Phillips Hall

953 Danby Rd

Ithaca, NY 14850

Regular mail and package service will resume the week before classes start.
