Hello! Orientation is seeking for faculty and staff volunteers to facilitate “Ithaca Dining Experience" programs for family members and guests attending orientation this summer.
During new student orientation, family members and guests sign up for a reservation we have made at local restaurants in town. IC faculty and staff are scheduled to host an informal opportunity for guests to socialize with each other and deepen their connection to the College and community.
This can be an incredibly important connection opportunity for family members who span the experience range of first child in college to veteran orientation goer!
We are looking for “hosts” to attend dinners during our summer orientation sessions at approximately 6:45pm. Additionally, the Summer Orientation Program will pay for your dinner if you agree to host!
The following restaurants are some examples of local businesses that have participated in the Ithaca Dining Experience:
· Mia’s
· Taste of Thai Express
· Joe’s
· Kilpatrick’s
· Moosewood
· NorthStar
· Maxie’S
After most responses are received and restaurants communicate their willingness to participate, volunteers will be sent a schedule of prospective assignments. This email will include directions, guidelines, and a timeline.
Please complete this survey by June 12, 2017. https://ithaca.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bO9Rv2J57OqHCrH&Q_JFE

FYI: Only Ithaca College Faculty and Staff may volunteer as hosts. Unfortunately, students may not be hosts.
