On Friday, May 5, the School of Humanities and Sciences recognized a select group of students for outstanding academic achievement in the 2016-17 academic year. The Dean's Award is granted annually to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average in each of the four disciplinary areas in H&S: Social & Behavioral Sciences, Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Fine & Performing Arts.

As their careers at Ithaca College come to a close, these students have exciting plans in their academic futures! While Jared Povanda is currently applying to number of MFA programs, Irene Howard is set to begin graduate school at New York University. Cailin Harro will attend the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, and Arielle Rubin will be the Marketing and Communications Fellow at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, CA.
The School of H&S would like to congratulate these award recipients, as well as all of its graduating seniors! We wish them the best of luck in their new endeavors!
