We are looking for infants who will soon turn 8 months or are any age between 8 and 12 months, who are able to crawl, and are typically developing.
The purpose of this study is to see if there is a difference in the amount of activity in certain areas of your child’s brain when being moved in a stroller versus when crawling. Your child will wear a comfortable, silicon device that can measures the level of activity in the infant frontal brain. You will be asked to come in twice for the study and you will receive a $20.00 gift card to Wegman’s for each visit, a certificate, and a photo for participation. The first time you come to the laboratory, your infant will be placed in a stroller and moved in a straight line or encouraged to crawl while wearing this device. The second time, your child will be placed in an infant car seat so he or she can watch a series of videos while wearing the device.
