The following message is being provided on behalf of Ernie McClatchie, Director of Maintenance, Grounds and Transportation:
This is a reminder that in order to perform required maintenance on the campus electrical infrastructure, the Office of Facilities will be conducting its annual power shutdowns on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 and Sunday, August 13th, 2017.
Power will be turned off to the entire campus beginning at 6:00am on these two days, and power will be restored in the evening hours when work has been completed. The Circle Apartments are not affected by this power shutdown.
**Additional work will be taking place in the Campus Center, therefore both Egbert Hall and Phillips Hall will be without power beginning on Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at 5:30pm so that power can be restored by the end of the day on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017.
It is the advice of DIIS that all computers and printers be unplugged before these interruptions. Please communicate this to the appropriate personnel within your areas.
As always, staff from the Office of Facilities will be present on campus during the shutdown and on call after these interruptions to ensure all systems resume to their normal functions.
