A story in the current Association of College and University Housing Officers - International (ACUHO-I) magazine Talking Stick highlights collaborative efforts to identify, publicize, and create more single-occupancy restrooms across the Ithaca College campus. The story, "Celebrating Inclusiveness, written by alumna and former IC Residence Director Tina Tormey '98 features the efforts of Jenny Pickett, Assistant Director of Operations in Residential Life, and Luca Maurer, LGBT Center program director.

The story recognizes Jenny Pickett's on-going work in identifying and adapting residence hall restrooms to afford additional safety and privacy for students. Pickett's innovative and creative efforts were also recognized last year with an Appreciation Award from the LGBT Center. The story also notes the the LGBT Center's winter 2017 "Hydration Celebration" event to raise awareness about IC's all gender restrooms and the many who benefit from such spaces, and ways this event also provided members of the campus community opportunities to connect with each other.

Talking Stick is a publication focused on the latest in college and university housing news, innovation, and professional development information. Read the full story, "Pride in Their Work," at http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/acuho/talkingstick_20170506/index.php#/40
