Sterling began his career in higher education at the University of Iowa where he worked as a study abroad advisor. He primarily guided students traveling to Asia, Oceania, Russia, and Australia. After several rewarding years in that position, he moved to Hong Kong where he completed a master’s degree in International & Public Affairs. Upon returning to the US, he joined the University of Wyoming’s Department of Political Science as an advising coordinator.
Sterling greatly enjoys working with students. He is inspired by their energy, curiosity, and determination. When not on campus, Sterling enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and sailing. He’s made it his mission to visit every waterfall in the State of New York and is already well on his way to accomplishing that goal.
We are delighted that Sterling has joined our team as an academic advisor, and has already been meeting students during Orientation. Please feel free to stop by the AAC to say hello!
