The Park School is pleased to welcome two new staff members who play critical roles in the comprehensive education of our students.

Kirk Harbinger ’89 recently started as Professional Development Coordinator in the Park School of Communications after serving as a Major Gifts Officer here at IC.  Before his employment at the college over three years ago, he was President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.  Kirk has extensive experience as an executive in human resources and organizational training - with a specialty in emerging applications such as e-Learning, and gaming/simulations.  His daughter, Cara, is a rising junior in Integrated Marketing Communications.

In his new role, Kirk will focus on career education for Park students including participating as a first year advisor, developing meaningful internship experiences and  job opportunities, and hosting professional development events such as alumni workshops.  He brings many alumni and industry connections to the role and will utilize this network to enhance Park students’ experiential learning.

Jeremy Menard also just joined the Park School, serving as Manager of ICTV, WICB-FM and VIC radio.  He holds a master's degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School and a B.A. from Muhlenberg College in Media & Communication and Economics. Jeremy was most recently Operations Manager, Program Director & Host of “Between the Lines”at  Ithaca’s Sports Radio - WPIE ESPN where he established a very effective internship program that involved many IC students each semester.

Previously Jeremy worked in commercial and NPR radio in Schenectady and Syracuse, interned at Time Warner cable sports and produced video for Syracuse University football's website.  He's excited to work with our student media since he got his first taste of broadcasting while working at Muhlenberg College's radio station WMUH 91.7 FM where he did play-by-play announcing and rose through the ranks to become sports director.  He'll be working with over 400 students from across campus who work on ICTV, WICB-FM and VIC Radio, mentoring them in management, producing, and on-air performance and coordinating input from alumni who also take time to coach our students in various aspects of broadcasting.
