Britney Mazzetta '18, Math major, Presents Research and Wins Award at National Meeting

Math major, Britney Mazzetta, presented her research, "Predicting U.S. Childhood Obesity through Mathematical Modeling", at the MAA MathFest in Chicago, July 26-29.  She was awarded a Student Speaker Award from Pi Mu Epsilon, the national honor society for mathematics.

Britney's project was mentored by math faculty member Osman Yürekli and was supported as part of the H&S Summer Scholars Program and through funds supplied by the H&S Dean's Office.
