Three of our '17 H&S Summer Scholars are hosting an art exhibit showcasing work from their projects. This celebration of their work will be held Friday, September 1st from 5-7p in the Creative Space Gallery.
The featured artists:
Marilyn Markech ('18): Mental and Material: Paintings
Serena Columbro ('18): Disparate Imagines: Reflections on Memory
Kaylee Warner ('18): Embodied Landscapes
Additionally, two of the scholars (Marilyn Markech and Kaylee Warner), will speak about their displayed paintings on Monday, September 11th at 12:10p. They will also discuss general information about the H&S Summer Scholars program. The Summer Scholars program provides Humanities and Sciences students in the creative arts, humanities, mathematics, and social sciences with a full-time paid opportunity to engage in a scholarly/creative project with direct and ongoing mentoring by an H&S faculty mentor.
The Creative Space Gallery is located in Suite 50 within the South Hill Business Campus, across from Ithaca College. Drive into the main entrance and proceed to the rear of the building and lower parking lot. Enter the door adjacent to Loading Dock No. 5.
